Gift Me a Love Poem

There will be no issue for the month of December. Instead, I would like request everyone to gift me a love poem for my upcoming wedding in December. You still have time to send me love poems (haiku and tanka) for the GIFT ME A LOVE POEM project. Although I prefer unpublished poems, you can send me published ones. I will select at least one that resonates with me and add it to my string of hearts, which will be displayed at my wedding reception. I have one more cherry blossom tree to fill up! Please email poems to [email protected]. After the wedding, I will send everyone who submitted a pdf of all the love poems.

Blue morph
inflates its chrysalis wings
dazzling rainforest
with radiance as brilliant
as the luster of your love

oar’s white-frothed wake
reflects pink cherry blossoms
as I peer
into your blushing eyes
full of spring beauty

blue woodland phlox
casts purple hue upon us
rising with pink moon
as we embrace the evening
merged in each others’ arms

glint of moonlight
slices through paddled droplets
of our gondolier
romancing blissful hearts
as we stroll through Venice

moss phlox
the softness of her face
dewed by misting rain
blanketing the forest
with shades of light pink laughter
