HAIGA AND TANKA ART RESOURCES:
For haiga or tanka art to be highly effective, the poem or artwork should not simply describe the other. Rather, both should work together to create a new or deeper experience which may not be achieved by either of them alone. As Linda Papanicalao, editor of Haigaonline, says, "every artist works towards the same goal – an art that’s more than the sum of its parts".
