I was delighted that issue 9 of the video journal, Frameless Sky, arrived in the post today.
As usual, the editor Chrissi Villa has done an amazingly stellar job of selecting quality haiku and tanka and putting this together. The poems are truly breathtaking. And I just LOVE the subtle work of featured artist, Debbie Strange, who provided the visual inspiration that many of the poems respond to. The theme of her artwork was “Looking Softly Upon the World”. The music by TPR and Kevin MacLeod is wonderfully relaxing.
As if that isn’t enough, there is a special section with haiga by Australian poet Ron Moss. His artwork and haiku are featured, as well as audio by Ron reading his own work. I original pieces of Ron's work that grace the walls of my home. Cherita poems also receive a special mention in this issue with some wonderful examples.
I am delighted to have a couple of tanka in issue 9 of Frameless Sky. I am delighted this one was selected to be paired with Debbie’s photo of an American Indian tepee:

The work inside Issue 3 is superb and it has been so healing to read it all. Chrissi has excelled herself and it was lovely to read Mary Kendall’s, David Terelinck’s , Amanda Mittra Dcosta, and Chrissi's own poems inside. Also a pleasure to see that respected editors like Susan Constable, Pamela Babusci, Caroline Skanne, Shloka Shankar. Claire Everett and others had submitted their work. The beautiful sequence by David and Claire at the end, read by Beverley and David George was a fitting ending.
